Hello lovelies! The weather has been so kind to us lately and I couldn't be happier right now. Ah! glorious spring! Every year I am amazed at the transformation of London and its people around this time of year. The trees are bursting with brilliant blossom and all of a sudden heads are raise high, eyes brighten up and smiles are spread all around. The bars are full of chatty crowds spilling onto the pavements and even the cab drivers seem to be more relaxed (and dare I say even courteous on the road). I truly LOVE London in springtime!
Spring is also the time to brighten and freshen up your home and I just love these unique illustrated cushions from online shop envelop for a quick, easy and affordable way to instantly spruce up any space.

Today I managed to keep my eyes off the books just about long enough to share these lovely illustrations by one of my Flickr contacts, Anja Louise Verdugo.
You can browse Anja's work on Flickr or visit her vintage Etsy shop (no prints on offer at the moment, but keep your eyes open...)

I have recently discovered the beautiful work of Jason Thielke.
His architectural figure drawing is rich in details with a soft and soulful feel.
I adore the combination of his skillful blueprint-like construction and the strong emotional expression.
The result, as you can see, is fantasticly fascinating!
Visit his website for details on his upcoming exhibitions and to see more of his work.
Enjoy!
Sometimes, art can be found in the most unexpected places...
These beautiful designs are just a few of my personal favorites, from a selection of 101 brilliant and joy-inducing tea towels from the online shop To Dry For.
The brainchild of Oxford-based duo, Sally Gough and Dave Emery, ToDryFor offers a fantastic range of eye-pleasing tea towels that would add a spot of quirkiness to your kitchen and a little bit of fun to the, otherwise rather dull chore of dish-drying.
The vibrant designs can be just as well framed and hanged on the kitchen wall. Not to mention, they would make for a lovely, lightweight, low cost gift (with prices ranging between £7.50 -£11.50) that you could easily send in the post!
With commissioned work from Rob Ryan, Stuart Kolakovic and People will always need plates, and designs that cover anything from architecture and skiing, to nature and classic nostalgia (note the hilarious Mr. T towel) there is truly something for everyone at ToDryFor!
Visit the website to view and enjoy the full range and read through the witty product descriptions.

The beautiful work of Australian artist, Kareena Zerefos, has completely captured my heart!
With such whimsical subjects as ponies, deers and owls, and the use of muted and limited colour palettes- this is hardly surprising at all.
A self-taught illustrator, with a background in design, Kareena often combines her drawings with digital graphic techniques. Some of the materials she uses for her drawings are pencil, ink and gouache.
.
With solo shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and several group shows across Australia under her belt, this is one talented artist to keep your eyes open for.To view more of Kareena's work visit her site here or purchase her work here.

This vibrant colour palette has been on my mind for the past few weeks. Almost every night, just before I fall asleep, I see images of colours, designs and ideas in my mind. Some are quickly forgotten, some I make a mental note to try remember in the morning, some I love so much that I make an effort to get up and sketch or write them down and some just keep coming back over and over again, until I find a way to utilise them.
The orange,Turquoise and white combination has been one of those that keeps coming back. At first I didn't know what to make of it, but as the days went by, I kept stumbling upon these colours everywhere and knew that I had to put them all together to get the full impact of this colour crush!
